PR and Media Relations

  • PR Campaign for national organization and its foundation to garner support for various fundraising initiatives.  Most recently, successfully designed and launched communications and media plan to raise awareness and funds for their antiracist curriculum initiative.  Significant media response and subsequent coverage of a variety of events. MPR is working with leadership and board on harnessing social, print and broadcast media opportunities.  
  • Created comprehensive crisis communications plan for an international nonprofit with a complicated constituent base.  Trained leadership and board on effective crisis communications.

Strategic Communications

  • Substantial communications and marketing content creation for a global nonprofit, including composing year-end campaign materials for a global nonprofit focused on ending hunger. Client feedback described the work as “powerfully and emotionally written,” noting MPR’s deep investment in understanding both the organization’s mission and the broader sector and global hunger landscape. Created communications strategy and calendar that is repeatable and expandable to facilitate and implement that strategy. 
  • Comprehensive Messaging Campaign for a national organization with multiple subsidiaries committed to improving the lives of a diverse population with complex social and functional needs. Plan incorporates funding opportunities; leverages existing relationships with public and private foundations, as well as individuals and corporations; and amplifies messaging relative to a capital campaign on the horizon. 
  • Comprehensive audit for a university, interviewing more than 50 key constituents to facilitate an assessment of their strengths and challenges relative to advancement. Compiled a detailed, specialized report on findings and recommendations to guide their next steps relative to organizational structure.  MPR is advising school leadership and institution’s board of directors on implementation.

Fundraising strategy and coaching

Across multiple engagements, MPR has launched capacity-building initiatives for global and national nonprofits, strengthening fundraising excellence through improved strategy, communications alignment, leadership coaching, and systems development. These efforts ensure organizations are not dependent on outside consultants indefinitely but are positioned for sustained success.


  • Created multi-channel fundraising initiative that resulted an 18% increase in annual donations to a global charity (nearly four times the average percentage increase). 
  • Cumulative campaign fundraising experience over the past two decades has helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars for several organizations of varying budget sizes. 
  • Facilitated campaign readiness assessments, including feasibility studies, for multiple universities,  human services organizations, and arts organizations. 

Nonprofit Management, strategic planning & board Development

  • Coordinated launch of several nonprofit organizations, including creation of boards, mission and vision statements, bylaws, obtaining 501(c)3 status, and creating comprehensive strategic plans that incorporate capacity building, prospect identification, and implementation of successful donor-centric fundraising techniques.
  • Facilitated process of exploring organizational name change with an international nonprofit.  Exercised addressed concerns, explored benefits, reviewed challenges with process, and clarified process to effectively rebrand and amplify messaging around change.
  • Facilitated dozens of successful strategic planning initiatives covering a variety of foundations and nonprofit organizations.  Each provided clear direction and deliverables and created a concrete path forward.
